Thoughts in puzzle of words….part 1

June 27, 2007

Enchained in the hollow conscious
I fade away in the late night dark
Far memories come back quite sudden
But fade away yet again in dark

Few symphonies will dance in dark
If you come untie
Few symphonies will dance in crowd
If you drift and dry

Where there is injured happiness
In the joy of lonely man’s pride
You and I are strangers set apart
In the ignorance of utmost deride

Darkness fades away gradually
Emptiness fades away in the morning light
Ray of Sun plays in the lake of heart
And the dreams burn in the field of golden height

At the end, the insane rages cheerfully engulf the brutal beast.

Thoughts in puzzle of words….part 3

July 30, 2007

A shadow lies in the realm of remorse
With a perfect puzzle of words
It knits an unknown desire…but
The unbound time keeps playing the symphony of destruction

Sometimes it hears this invisible scream
It sees the reflection of mistakes on this dim wall
Someone walks by trembling the core of this floor
It wants to run away but can’t break this hollow wall

All these illusions are so delusional that they seem absolutely real….

Thoughts in puzzle of words….part 5

August 7, 2007

You know all these are going to end one day infinitely
And I am going to leave watching you die miserably
I am going to relish that moment with the highest priority
Don’t you worry, all these will come back to you vividly

Thoughts in puzzle of words….part 7

March 5, 2010

Although this path is gone to the rootless,
I will walk on it to breed new roots.
Revolting to rest my soul on to the rooted faceless,
I will seek what is beneath this truth.

You can shift the paradigm; tie me down with a chain.
With your baseless gravity you can gravitate me to a grave.
But, neither will I hesitate to spill blood that’s rushing through my vein,
Nor yearn to mark your face with red and send you back to your cave.

Call me selfish, call me mediocre,
Call me whatever gives you pleasure,
But, in your all out elitist prayer, remember,
I will be a stranger throughout your darkest hour.

Although this path is gone to the rootless,
I will sow the seeds of new breed.
Daring to defy the Nemesis of helpless,
On a stone I will carve this creed…….

Thoughts in puzzle of words….part 9

November 25, 2012

When the urge to breathe disappears in the exosphere,
Death is the only escape as the noose hangs on a hanger.
And the night falls in town as the moonlight sonata serenades,
With the sound of engulfing silence the shadow takes a step closer to the grave.

The howling of the midnight creature floats through the air,
In a bid to take out the lead of the existing heir.
It hops onto the invisible cloak of the human desire,
As it touches, it burns into ashes the life source of these wasted years.

Would you breathe in high hopes into this inevitable slow decay?
Even if you fall knowing to have it all chased away.
Then you hear the drums in the melancholy hour of this solitary confinement.
Ponder! Would you lend your hand to create the memories of this wasteland?

The Silver Lining: COVID-19 Edition

April 5, 2020

Hidden talents that were unfamiliar once
The alter egos that were growing in isolation
Have come out of the shadows dancing
Through this pandemic, colored in variations
Of arts, culture and caring,

Dare I say, the silver lining of social distancing!
The rat race slows down a bit,
The numbers in the stock market fluctuate rapidly,
We ironically and quickly realize they weren’t the KPIs
Of our social construct, where we far too long, sadly
Ignored the plight of our very own essential workers –
The nurses, the busboys, the waiters,
The firefighters, the first responders,
The doctors, the teachers, the drivers,
The delivery workers, the postal carriers,
The cashiers, the garbage collectors,
The builders, the painters, the barbers,
Non-celebrity class artists, musicians and actors, the unknowns
The ones make up and light up all our gatherings.
Dare I say, the silver lining of social distancing!

The constant search for the unknown,
While ignoring the gift of now and known
Ignoring what was always underneath our throne,
The brutal fragility of our bones.
Now-a-days time at times stand still
Craving for connections in all of our social disconnect
We shape and form our thoughts and spill
To overcome the weakness thread by thread.

In times like these,
In the corner of our familiar comfort for ages
Things that were untouched,
Treasures that were unearthed,
Song that was untuned,
Poem that was unwritten,
Friend requests that were pending,
Relationships that were taken for granted,
Memories that were collecting dust,
Have suddenly come alive and found meaning.
Dare I say, the silver lining of social distancing!

The fog will clear,
Truth will be told and when it’s all said and bare,
When the face with fear disappears,
When the sun sets on COVID-19,
We will set the world on fire again with new beginnings.
Dare I say, the silver lining of social distancing!

Thoughts in puzzle of words….part 2

July 27, 2007

In the midst of my deviant feelings
I sketch your face thousand times
But never can get it right
I never can get it right

What is it?
Why is this desire not to be fulfilled?
Why is this skill not to be mastered?

Here in the midst of four death walls
I will bury these feelings at last…

Thoughts in puzzle of words….part 4

July 31, 2007

To couple of my friends who just left for good….may not see them ever again…

dure jao jodiba bondhu
dur noy thikana

bune dilam nokshi-katha
bahari alponay…

If the destiny creates a distance among us
Then destiny knows no bound of the parameters of unknown
We created many dots on this planet to tie our dreams
We walked on different paths to lead us to where we belong

Yet sometimes we fall apart cherishing the fact that

There is a thin line between
…..the forces of good and evil
…..the forces of real and illusion
…..the existence of you and I.

Thoughts in puzzle of words….part 6

October 10, 2008

Dreams are buried beneath the wonders of many,
Paralyzed soul to fulfill the desires of others is not an irony.
What have they wanted to do with you?
What have they wanted you to be?
Like a pendulum you have been swinging away,
Searching for a safe to rest your soul and fly away.

Thoughts in puzzle of words….part 8

October 13, 2012

Spinning into this unknown valley of undeniable attraction,
With your feet in the air and the head on the ground,
You are lost and yet you feel you found yourself in the motion
Of this endless maze spinning and spinning while hitting the ground.

And, the reality sets in like the sun in it’s atmospheric compound.

Breathing into the warmth of tabooed desire and plea,
You forget that the worm is growing in your cold concentrated fear.
Then you close your eyes to the things you don’t want to see,
And shut your ear to the things you don’t want to hear.
But, the heart screams in all of it’s silent despair.

Hoping to walk on the mystical path of this orchestrated liberty,
No one told you that when it burns, it burns it all.
But, no one knows that you wanted immortality,
In your last breath holding on to the edge knowing you are too afraid to fall.
And, there shines the beacon of hope standing forever tall!

As the silence cuts through the vein,
And the never spoken words hide behind a frame,
As the night gets darker and darker to hide it’s shame,
You feel like you waited a thousand years to see that smile again 🙂

Thoughts in puzzle of words….part 10 (Haikus)

March 22, 2013

1.
Urge to breathe vapors,
Dark soul of fear takes over,
And the dream shatters.

2.
I saw injustice,
Saw horror of unjust war,
Take me home brother.

3.
American dream
dies in immigrant prison.
Call me illegal.

4.
Red Blue White in heart,
Constitution oaths in head,
Hope lies on death bed.

5.
You know it all ends,
All that you claim to be yours,
Ends in a coffin.

6.
Silence cripples night.
Cold front of heartless winter.
Words won’t make it right.

7.
Mother mother look,
There is a bomb in the sky.
Bodies in gutter.

8.
We have evolved as
sophisticated killer.
Result – extinction.

9.
Used, betrayed and dumped.
Story of a US soldier.
His name – Tomas Young.
